The Northbrook Congregation of Ezra HaBonim is a small, but dedicated synagogue located in Northbrook, IL. Ezra has been dangerously close to shutting its doors numerous times because of the lack of funds to keep the synagogue alive and thriving.
This site and blog is dedicated to the synagogue and we hope to bring as much Jewish knowledge to those who read the blog as the synagogue has brought to so many young lives who have graduated from their Hebrew school.
That being said, if you are in need of any Jewish holiday, Bar/Bat Mitzvah or Shabbos gifts, please consider buying from our gift shop. All the proceeds are directly donated to the sisterhood of Ezra HaBonim and, eventually, we hope that the gift shop will bring in enough money to help us keep our synagogue open for many future generations, while attracting new families and replenishing our small but tight-knit congregation.
